Free Software Sunday

You might have heard about the Open Source Friday initiative by GitHub to improve the contributions and awareness of Open Source Software. I like this idea and considering myself to do the same – contributing to software but not to Open Source. To Free Software. The Software that is listed on GNU's website or the software that is licensed under GNU GPL.

I'm a full-time web developer and all Fridays are one of my busy scheduled days at the office. For me, it is not possible to spend a few hours in front of my laptop. Even for me, these are the days when I spend the least amount of time with my family and loved ones. So, I have done this another modification – Instead of Friday, it will be on Sunday.

At this moment, I'm not quite sure about how I'll going to contribute to Free Software. It might be Code or Testing or Docs or Translation. I'm planning to go first with Docs and Translation for my native Gujarati language. After that as time permit and based on my knowledge I may move to other areas of contributions.

Let's see how this work. I'll update this post after three months with experimental status.
